Micra 1.4 l SE won't start

A strange problem has arisen with my 2001 Micra. It wouldn't start this evening and I used it okay yesterday, filled up with petrol and put it in the garage and haven't used it, until I tried to start it this evening.

It has always run fine before, the battery is nearly new and fully charged but the engine just turns over and over and doesn't seem to fire or cough. I checked the fuel pump fuse and a couple of other engine fuses, all seem intact.

I don't know what to check next before...

Does the K11 use OBD OR OBD2

I was wondering because I'm looking to see if i can find any standalone ECUs to put in my K11. But I don't know if it is OBD or OBD2?

Hi, ive recently purchased a 2001 K11 1.0 se with 40,000 miles on the clock. The first day I got it the engine light came on and I got the code PO135, so I replaced the post cat lambda sensor as it had split in half (obvious fault) all was then well for two days until the engine light came on again. It now gives me the code PO137 which is a low voltage/ low oxygen fault for that sensor. I've checked for exhaust leaks and checked all the connections. I can't imagine it being the cat after...

1.3 Manual averaging 32mpg?

Hi folks,


My 1.3 k11 manual has averaged 32mpg since I got it. That's a mixture of motorway and city driving. Seems pretty low to me, tyres are at the right pressures and the car seems to run ok.

Any thoughts on why it could be down are greatly appreciated.

Cold start problem

Hi guys

I’ve got a cold start problem on my car which started when the weather started to turn:down:. When I come to start the car in the morning the engine will turn over but wont start. I will try it again giving by pressing the accelerator slightly it will then start for a couple of seconds before stalling. ill then try it again and it misfires and pops like mad before catching and spluttering for a couple of seconds before the revs pick up and it runs like clockwork all day then,...

Greetings from Finland!
First of all i apologize my bad english, but i will try my best.
I bought k11 -93 in january 2015. (this is my 4. micra so not so new thing to me.)
In summer -15 i start modding my engine to run with alcohol (re85 is what we get from pumps). This was easy, just megasquirt 1 with 2.2 board, few mods to trigger and i got ms'n's. Then the problems came. First my injectors was dropping once on time, i changed injectors to newer (i think -97 micra 1.0) and solved problem...

So just wanted to ask a few questions. Porbably best on a nissan tuning forum but thought I'd ask here. Is the QR20DE/QR25DE The Last good Tuner Engine? Also is it open closed deck? I know in the UK I believe we only got the 2.0L. Worth Messing with and Seeing the potential? Anybody done anything with newer engines? Just wanting to increase my knowledge on these newer engines. SR20 have been messed with to 2,000hp. Room for a new King?

I have a Micra 1.0 2002 S.

Standard engine.

Its recently started to make this weird ticking noise that is in sync with the engine revs, so as I rev slightly, the ticking gets quicker. Sounds like the ticking of the internals of a clock. Feels like its coming from the left side of the rocker cover (where the oil filler cap is), could this be timing chain related? and i read something about hydraulic lifters in the car can cause this noise?

Please can anyone shed any light, dont really want...

Front wheel bearing and brake problem, help please

Hi guys
I had four new tyres fitted and asked for the wheel alignment to be checked, unfortunately the drivers side wheel bearing is shot so unable to align, passenger side fine.

I am looking at replacing with s/h part have a 2001 1.0 hub on ebay for 15.00, will that fit my 1.3 june 1998 car?
I did ring but the guy wasn't sure.
I am thinking of buying a new wishbone and track rod end 34.00 total so that I can just cut the track rod end and lower ball joint off? As I have minimal tools is it...

35mm/50mm Lowered K11 Pictures PLEASE!!

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of lowering my car by 35mm (lowering spring kit) or 50mm (with the corsa, alto method). I am just wanting to get it looking like the stock height of any other normal car - like a smart tidy look. I have spaced the front wheels 5mm and rears 30mm and resprayed the steel wheels and got some centre caps, but I think lowering is the last thing I want to do in terms of wheels and stance.

But can people please post pics of their 35mm and 50mm lowered cars so I can...

Power steering pump help

Hello I have a Nissan Micra S 2000 1.0l automatic and when I turn full lock it squeals, when I bought the car the advisory was ‘Power steering pipe(s) or hose(s) has slight seepage from a joint near pump (2.3.3b)’ Which is slight, there’s nothing on the floor and I got the car last April and the bottle is still full. A couple of people have said the pas pump is on its way out. My dad looked under bonnet as it was running and I turned full lock and he said the belt runs slower when I do it...

Cam specs . STD vs High Lift

Looking for the specs on a cg13de camshaft.

Was speaking with an engine builder and he reckons my cams might have a too long of duration for the spec of engine i have.
Spec is:
1.3 pistons
Head & block skimmed .5mm
Head polish and ported
Cbr1000 itbs

I had my cams reground to the ultimate road Pipercross specs. 272 degrees.

Anyone have any experience of these ?

K11 wont crank and odometer resets

Hello everyone. Have a semi-urgent problem with my '99 K11. When I turn the key nothing happens except the odometer resets and the small digital display flashes with random figures (not numbers, just random lines). No cranking.
Prior to this happening I drove it to my garage, loosened the alternator and changed the outer belt. Tightened it up, turned the key and nothing happened except the reset.
Am I looking for a short somewhere? Or is it something obvious that I've missed?

Anyone know of any suppliers
Paid for some in December mynsupplier has said they have been lost and can't locate them or wants to get some more so has refunded me
I've rang Nissan main dealer and they have basic there no longer available at any of there branches

induction kits???

Hi all!
After sorting out the handling of the Micra, it's time for a bit more power!
I am looking to start with an induction kit and then get a sports cat and cat-back later. Then I'm looking at cams and a remap.
However that's for another time.
I'm looking for an induction kit that gives me the most power, but I refuse to spend £300 on the Grp. A from Humphris!
Is the N15 airbox the best way or should I make my own up to the grilles in the bonnet (going over the cam cover)?

Sorry, this question has probably been asked a thousand times, I’ve just acquired a super s and want to do some mods without breaking the bank, engine exhaust and suspension, I see people are using the alto springs. With the engine, thinking cone air filter, removing both cats and rear box. Braking, Almera 1.6 brakes, do I need to make any mods to make these fit? And will I need 14” wheels ? And has anybody swapped the rear brakes for a disc conversion? Thanks in advance

What length velocity stacks?

Hi.
Currently building a cg13 with cbr1000 itbs.
It has 272 degrees high lift cams , port and polished head .

Does anyone know how to calculate what length of velocity stacks I will need?
I know the longer They are the better it is for power higher up in rev range

Hi,

Anyone around the Yorkshire area that will be able to fit a set of 4 lowering springs to my K11 2002? Am struggling to get quotes from local garages as they only want to fit genuine parts and not aftermarket parts.
