Rev Counter Help... sorta...

Hey guys!

I’m gunna try throwing my aftermarket rev counter in my winter Micra and I have a couple of questions..

The first, most obvious one, where do I get the feed for the green wire? I’ve heard it’s “the blue wire behind the dials” but I’m not 100% certain. It’s a 1ltr coil on plug engine if that helps.

The second question maybe not so obvious.. do I NEEED to wire in the hideously bright blue LEDs the burn your retinas out when you turn the lights on or not? I’ve managed to take the...

Qg18 throttle body and fuel rail on a CGA3

Hi everybody,

I was thinking about replacing my stock t/b with a qg18 one.
It Will directly fit? If not, which modifications I have to do? I Think qg18 Maf can communicate with stock CGA3, but other sensors?
I have qg18 fuel injectors with rail, can it fit directly on cga, with a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator?

Fitted new thermostat

Hi all. I've fitted a new thermostat today and cannot believe the difference, the car warms up much much quicker, and the heater is much hotter .Best £6 I've ever spent on the old girl.

Hi guys. I want to lower my K11. I was looking for yours advices, read many topics, and dont get it at all. So I make a guide to be sure I understood everything, and help other people in future. Please check it, if something isn't correct, edit it or just write.

I'm looking online and they are around £50-60 each which seems pretty expensive - or is this just how much they cost generally? Where do you guys buy them? Cheers

Engine swap for beginner

Hi everyone.
First off, im so happy i found this forum, i know no better car than the Micra!

I would like to know how hard a CG10DE to CG13DE swap is. Im good with my hands an a quick learner but have weary little mechanical experience. Is it a bad idea to do the swap?

It might be worth mention that its not my daily drive so if its off the roads for some time its no big deal.

Nissan Consult 3 Software

Managed to get a nissan consult diagnostic tool from china. Having problems with the software it installs fine but when I try to run it I get an error: NDA_Launcher.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point GetFileVersionInfoA could not be located in the dynamic link library VERSION,dll

Does anyone know where I can download another version of the consult 3 software or if they could upload the dll files from their version located in C:\ConsultIII\bin might be able to make it...

Problems finding Sway Bars

Hi guys I'm new around here. I have a k11 1.0 lowered with alto springs, and thinking on moving to bilstein b4 (feedback?). But I'm loocking for less bodyroll, and everybody talks abou whiteline BNF31 and BNR29XZ anti roll bars but they are really hard to find...
I'm in Portugal (EU), and have been looking through uks websites and only found EUROPERFORMANCE but they only have the rears....
Any help guys?

Central locking wiring

I'm having a problem with my wiring loom (Micra engine going into a Mini and I'm using the Micra loom). My engine and loom are from a Mystique so have all the toys, most of which I don't need!

I do want to keep the central locking but I am struggling trying to work out the wiring to the two modules in the photo. The smaller one looks like a "keyless...

K11 Breather hose

Hi, I have a 1998 Nissan Cube which uses the 1.3 K11 engine. Between the crank case (right hand side) and the air box there's a breather hose, which on my car had a small filter on it (like a tiny cone filter). This has come off at some point and so now there's just a stub of hose left and a bolt/connector. Its always been a bit stinky in the cabin so not sure if this is the culprit!

Anyway, does it really need the wee filter, or can i just reconnect it with some hose (and how does that...

Limited Slip Dif compatability

Hey all,

Forever lurker from Australia with a question.

Can the 1000cc march k11 gearbox (RS5F41A) NISMO 1way limited slip differential fit into the the 1300cc march k11 (RS5F30A) gearbox? I have bought one without thinking or checking compatability.... bloody idiot that I am.

Any info and explanation of options available to me for using the LSD would be greatly appreciated.

Where to find a mechanical window lift?

Hi!

I got a K11 Micra and came across with a little problem. My drivers side window started to act funny. At first when I rolled it all the way down, it got stuck. Then I managed to get it out of the door with (a little too much) power, and I heard a quite hard bang from inside the door. Now the window is stuck. I'll try to open the door panel today and see if the window lift really is broken. The problem is that I cant find mechanical window lifts anywhere. Only the electric versions....

Setting the ignition timing

Today I borrowed a strobe light to have a go at checking and setting the ignition timing. I understand the procedure is
1. make the crank pulley timing marks contrasting enough to see them clearly
2. run the engine up to temperature then turn engine off
3. unplug the no1 cylinder (nearest timing chain) spark lead and put timing light into it and onto spark plug
4. disconect the throttle position sensor plug (rhs of throttle body)
5. restart the engine blip the trottle a few times and get it...

Micra K11 Gizfab "Noise Maker"

Hi

I have a 2002 facelift Micra Tempest and I'm wanting to start modifying it.

I want to start with the "Noise maker" from gizfab. Has anyone got this exhaust? Does it just replace the end can? Will this effect the MOT?

Any help appreciated.
